In 1934, DP Grigorovich produces a new gun fighter IP-1 (factory designation DG-52), which marked a qualitatively new level of development of the gun fighter. It was a high-speed free-bearing monoplane of all-metal construction. Motor RTSF-C Weapons, like Z, only instead of the PV-1 was a more effective ShKAS (overload in provided for the installation of the second ShKAS). In addition to powerful weapons SP-1 had a number of features that distinguished it from other domestic high-speed fighter aircraft: the wing had a shape close to elliptical, which is known to be achieved at least inductive resistance; unusual was the construction of the wing force consisted of tubular spars and truss ribs, and stringers supporting the sheathing, there was very little it sounded like besseringen wing with running covering.
