Ju-88 became the embodiment of popular in 30's years concept of "Schnellbomber" (high-speed bomber). From 1940 to 1941, about 2,000 Ju-88A-5 bombers were produced, the modification featured an increased wingspan and new liquid-cooled engines. The aircraft was used in all operations of the Luftwaffe 1939-1941 – in the Polish and French campaign, in the battle of Britain, the Balkans and the Soviet-German front.
