the world's First supersonic passenger aircraft became a Tu-144, developed in OKB A. N. Tupolev. The prototype took off on December 31, 1968, two months before the Anglo-French Concord. Serial production began in 1971 only until 1977 was built nine Tu-144 with engines NK-144A.
