the M48 was designed based on the M47 was an interim version before the advent of the M60 MBT. The M48 was used by the U.S. army and Marines during the Vietnam war. This set shows the M48A3 variant accepted into service in 1963. The US used in Vietnam more than 600 M48, the first tanks arrived in the country in 1965. During this war, the tank was very effective in supporting infantry, and clashes between tanks were very rare. With the withdrawal, many M48A3S were transferred to the armed forces of the Republic of Vietnam (ARVN).
