< p>2c34 Host is an upgraded version OF 2C1 Carnation. However, the upgraded artillery system is a howitzer / mortar rather than a howitzer. The 2s34 Host was designed to meet the changing demands of the Russian army battlefield. Currently, the Russian army has an extensive fleet of aging self-propelled howitzers 2S1 "Carnation", which can be upgraded to extend their life. The Russian army ordered 2S34 Host in 2011. Modernization 2S1 with replacement 122-mm gun 2A31 on 120-mm 2A80. Further improvements include a new fire control system, a battlefield surveillance system, and the ability to fire guided "Kitolov-2M"ammunition. The first mass-produced artillery systems were delivered in 2012. Currently, about 30 of these artillery systems are in service with the Russian army. It is also proposed for export customers.< / p>
