In 1945, the first Soviet aircraft with a turbojet engine was created in the design Bureau of A. S. Yakovlev. The first flight on the Yak-15 aircraft was performed in April 1946 by test pilot M. I. Ivanov. Yak-15 began to enter the combat units in 1946 and in a short time were successfully mastered by the personnel. In total, 280 production aircraft were produced. Serial production of the Yak-15 was discontinued in 1947.
