Additional Information
the German company DKW, founded in 1919, in the 30s has earned international fame as a manufacturer of sports motorcycles. In the same period, the intelligence division of the Wehrmacht, focused on mechanization, rapidly deployed motorcycles. At first, the Wehrmacht showed no interest in the two-wheeled DKW technique. In 1938, however, it was decided to adopt the DKW NZ 350 motorcycle with a capacity of 11 HP. In 1940, the release of the NZ 350/1 version, specially upgraded for the Wehrmacht, was started. Although the motorcycle was not suitable for heavy off-road, its light weight and ease of use made it an ideal communication motorcycle from Europe and North Africa to the Eastern front.
