the 18 ton M4 series high-speed tractor was developed and manufactured by Allis-Chalmers in Wisconsin, USA. The design is based on the T9 and T9E1 chassis. Specialized tractor replaced analogues of civilian origin, which were not suitable for military needs. High-speed tractor could transport team, ammunition and ammunition. From March 1943 to June 1945, 5552 M4 tractors were produced, plus another 259 M4A1 between June and August 1945. The M4 was designed primarily to transport 90 mm air defense guns.
