theM3A1 Scout Car was first released in 1938, originally used for reconnaissance. But the car was more suitable for use on the roads, not on rough terrain. During the war, the M3A1 directly for intelligence was used. The car was manufactured in three main versions: M3A1E1 with diesel engine, M3A1E2 with armored roof and M3A1E3 with 37 mm gun. It was built about 21 000 pieces, many machines were supplied to the USSR and Free France. After the war, many M3 were sold to Asian and Latin American countries. In addition to the driver's car could carry up to seven soldiers, weapons consisted of one m2 machine gun and two 1917 Browning in the rear.
