the development Of the land-wasser-schlepper began in 1936, but the first 7 machines were built only in July 1940. An additional 14 were produced in March 1941. The development was conducted by Rheinmetall-Borsig, as an amphibious machine for the needs of engineers. The main drawbacks of the construction were insufficient internal space, 10 and 20 ton trailers were built to overcome this problem. The crew consisted of 3 to 5 crew and 20 passengers. Another problem was the lack of reservation, which is why the machine could not be effectively used in the combat area. LWS were used in the Soviet Union and North Africa.Length: 249.95 mm
