A. E. C. — British heavy armored car of the second world war. Created by A. E. C. in 1941, on the modified chassis of its own artillery tractor "Matador". From 1941 to 1943, 629 armored vehicles of this type were produced, which were actively used by British and Commonwealth troops in the Second world war. After the war, A. E. C. remained in service in the UK and in the postwar years, until the replacement of the armored car "Saladin" in the late 1950s. After the war, it was also supplied to other countries, the Lebanese army A. E. C. was in service at least until 1976.
