the passenger steamer Taiping was laid down at the American shipyard American Manitowoc in 1920. During the Second world war it was used as a supply ship. July 14, 1948 was converted into a passenger ship for the company Shanghai Zhonglian, the ship made flights between Shanghai and Jilong. The model recreates the ship shown in the 2014 film "Crossing" (The Crossing).
