Tamiya 14099 1/12 Honda NSR500 Factory Color

From 1984 to 2002 Honda produced the NSR500 racing motorcycle. It was created by HRC (Honda Racing Corporation) and debuted in 1984 at the Grand Prix in the 500cc class. Since then, Honda has won ten world Championships on the NSR500 motorcycle, six of which – in 1994-1999. the Motorcycle had a powerful 2-stroke 4-cylinder engine with one crankshaft, which made the engine lighter than the engine of the previous 3-cylinder model. The cylinders were arranged V-shaped at an angle of 112 degrees. Between them were four 36-mm Keihin carburettor, which due to the wide gap between the cylinders had a good cooling. Every year the engine power increased, and by 1996 it could produce more than 190 horsepower. By this time, the bike was equipped with a new aluminum chassis, which made it even easier and more maneuverable. The weight of the motorcycle was reduced to 130 kg! The maximum speed of the motorcycle exceeded 300 km/h.
