The Yamaha XV1600A Road Zvezda / Wild Zvezda cruiser model appeared in 1999 as the successor to the Yamaha XVZ1300A Royal Zvezda and as the most cubic Japanese chopper on the market. Originally the model was focused on the markets of North America, Europe and Japan (in the USA, Canada and Japan the motorcycle had the prefix Road Zvezda in the name, in Europe - Wild Zvezda), however in 2000 the motorcycle left the Japanese market and was available only in North America and Europe.
