Additional Information
Republic F-84F Thunder streak was an American turbojet fighter-bomber with a swept wing. Evolved from the F-84 Thunderjet with a straight wing and was a rival of the F-86 "Sabre". The "F" model differs from the "C" in that its wings have a sweep of 40 degrees, the rear plumage is also swept, the aircraft has a smaller cockpit lantern and another windscreen. The first flight took place in 1952, the aircraft was built too late for fighting in Korea. Some of the "Thunderstreak" was used by France and Britain in the "Suez Crisis" of 1956.
