Corsair Mk.II is the British version of the F4U-1A, includes a convex cockpit canopy with only two frames and simplified glazing. To improve the view in front of the long nose of the aircraft, the pilot's seat was raised by 180 mm, which is very important for landing on an aircraft carrier.
