Chance Vought F4U Corsair – American fighter used during the Second world war and the Korean war. The huge need for air force fighters quickly overloaded the production capacity of the company Vought, as a result of part of the orders were transferred to the company Goodyear, aircraft built by this company were designated FG. From the first prototype delivered to the US Navy in 1940 to the last delivery to France in 1953, the company Vought produced 12,571 machines in 16 different versions – the longest production of piston-engined fighters in the history of the American aircraft industry.
