F9F Panther became the first Grumman jet fighter and one of the first successful us Navy deck-based aircraft. "Panther" was widely used by the US Navy in the Korean war having made 78,000 sorties during the conflict, it is on account of the "Panther" the first air victory – the downed Yak-9 of North Korea. In total, 1 382 aircraft were built, some of the decommissioned fighters were delivered to Argentina.
