the Nanchang CJ-6 is an aircraft designed and built in China for use by the people's liberation army (PLAAF) air force as the main trainer. CJ-6 is not a Chinese version of Yakovlev Yak-18A. The power of the prototype was provided by a Czech-built horizontally-opposite piston engine, but flight tests showed the need for more power, so the local version of the Soviet radius AI-14P with a capacity of 260 HP, Housai HS-6 along with the corresponding propeller was replaced, and with this change, the CJ-6 was approved for mass production.model Length: 175.8 mm
