The MP4-29 chassis with a Mercedes engine differed from its rivals in the rather unusual layout of the radiators and the aerodynamic component of the rear suspension, but recently the cars are increasingly approaching each other in appearance. McLaren car this year stands out from other cars in terms of the concepts used. Short nose fairing, S-duct, complex front wing, traditional placement and layout of side pontoons and standard rear suspension geometry. However, a distinctive feature of the chassis of the team of the last two years is quite aggressive taper chassis – the front part is seriously understated, while the rear chassis is raised by 13-14 cm, which allows you to accumulate in this area enough air flow to create additional downforce.
