Among the cars on the starting grid of the 1986 24 hours of Le Mans was a monumental machine entered by the Porsche factory team. This car, the Porsche 961 was a racing-developed version of the sports car Porsche 959, which was presented to advanced mechanisms, including innovative computer systems all-wheel drive with four wheels. The 961 was equipped with the same technological characteristics as the 680-horsepower two-axis two-cylinder two-cylinder two-cylinder two-cylinder two-cylinder engine with a capacity of 680 HP, similar to the Porsche 962C team group C category. With Rally Metge winner this year in Paris and Dakar rené Metge and his teammate Claude Ballot-Lena driving the 961 took 7th place, putting him among the net racers of group C.
