Additional Information

Toyota Celica A20/35 series debuted in October 1970 at the Tokyo motor show, and just two months after the world premiere, the sports car went on sale in the domestic Japanese market. In the first period of production, the future legend was produced only as a notchback coupe, that is, the sports car had two full seats in front and two "children" behind, there was a pronounced trunk and no frame doors and second side Windows. Experts in the industry immediately aptly dubbed the rear "the Pillar" of the first years of issue a reduced copy of the famous Ford Mustang 1969 model year. Of course, the proportions of similar purpose cars from different sides of the Atlantic were similar. But the Japanese coupe stood out more smooth outlines, grilles of air ducts on the sides of the hood and "assembled" due to the overflow of the bumper in the line of marker lights in front. This made it interesting for a variety of categories of motorists.
