Citroën 15CV Traction Avant was one of the first production front-wheel drive cars in the world to be produced by the French automaker Citroën from 1934 to 1957. (Sometimes mistakenly considered the world's first production front-wheel drive car, but in 1929-1932 in the United States already produced front-wheel drive car Cord L-29, and in Germany since 1931 — DKW F1). About 760,000 vehicles were manufactured. Traction Avant was designed by André Lefèbvre and Flaminio Bertoni in late 1933 — early 1934. The car was one of the most successful front-wheel drive cars of the 1940s.
