Mercedes-Benz 300SL began life as a prototype built for the racing team of the concern, the car took part in international competitions, then, in 1954, the production version debuted at the international motor show in new York. Despite the formal road status, it is a very colorful car that has gained popularity in the United States. The car has a 3-liter engine (this is indicated by the number 300 in the title) and a light body (SL means Sport Leicht - sports light) with doors such as "gull wing". 1,400 cars were produced before the end of production in may 1957.
