HMS Royal Sovereign — superdreadnought, was the first of the series. Seven ships of the British Royal Navy were called HMS Royal Sovereign, another was planned, but renamed before launching. It was built by the firm Parsons. It was launched in Portsmouth, UK, on 29 may 1915. The fleet of great Britain included in may 1916. It was transferred to the Soviet Navy in 1944 and renamed "Arkhangelsk", in 1949 returned to England, sent for scrapping.
