Hunt was one of the most famous of its class destroyer escort of the Royal Navy during world war II. 82 Hunt four types were completed, of which 72 were put into operation in the Royal Navy, and the remaining 14 were transferred to the allied fleets - Norwegian, Polish, Greek and French. 20 class II hunt ships were ordered in September 1939. Seven of these ships were lost during world war II.
