U.S. S. Missouri affectionately called "Mighty Mo" (Mighty Mo), one of the largest and most powerful ships of the U.S. Navy, became known for the signing of the documents on the surrender of Japan. The Missouri was completed in June 1944, and was the last of the Iowa class ships to combine firepower and speed. Missouri was used from the landing on Ivo Jimu in February 1945 until the ceasefire in September 1945. The ship was also used during the Korean won.
