the Atomic submarine of project 705 and 705К (according to NATO classification - "Alfa") was created as a "fighter" enemy submarines. They were developed in the 60s of the twentieth century Leningrad KB №143 ("malachite"). The design of the boats for the first time used pop-up rescue chamber, titanium body, a high degree of automation and nuclear power plant with a liquid metal coolant of the primary circuit. In total, 7 boats of these types were built, which were withdrawn from the fleet in the 90s.
