During the Second World war, Germany developed and actively used a projectile aircraft (in modern terminology - a cruise missile) V-1.
Military deployment of missiles began in 1943, to prepare several starting positions in France. On 13 June 1944 was the first combat use of the V-1, the blow was struck in London. By March 29, 1945 7547 V-1 were released in England. 2419 of them reached London, causing losses of 6184 people killed and 17 981 wounded 1847 missiles were destroyed by fighters, 1866 whipped anti-aircraft artillery, 232 crashed on balloons barriers and 12 whipped artillery ships.
