Additional Information
After the NSDAP came to power in 1933, the German armed forces began a massive rearmament. One of the points of the program was the transfer of K5(E) and K12(E) guns to railway platforms.
Leopold had an unconfirmed range of 17 km, the design allowed to rotate the gun 360 degrees. Leopold was one of the largest-caliber guns in history, fired at American troops on Anzio beach. At the end of the shooting gun is usually imported into the tunnels to hide from the intelligence of the allies. Despite significant damage, the allies managed to capture two guns and subsequently withdraw them to the United States. At the moment, "Leopold" is exhibited at the test site of Aberdeen, Maryland, USA.
