Historical information: Infantry, as the most ancient type of troops, solved problems that could not cope with armored and other troops. And as in any army, the Wehrmacht had its "elite" infantry units and even troops. For the most part, "premium" was for the military services or at the stage of formation recruited from selected frames. Sometimes itself in the form of troops (for example, the parachutists of the Luftwaffe) were considered the military elite due to the extremely high criteria in selection of personnel and the nature of the action.
