In our series of miniature aircraft another addition - the model of the legendary Soviet fighter La-5 in scale 1/144. The model will delight You with the ease of Assembly (glue for the Assembly of this model, as usual, is not required) and the accuracy of the prototype. You can also use the model in the game "Great Patriotic war" as an aviation unit.
As a result of the fighting in 1941, it became obvious that the main Soviet fighter of the time - LaGG-3 - in many respects inferior to enemy fighters. Development of a new fighter began in late 1941. In the spring of 1942, a prototype of the new fighter was built and passed flight tests. Already in July 1942 and began mass production of the new fighter, dubbed the La-5.
Soviet pilots highly appreciated the flying qualities of the La-5; in particular, it was on these planes that the famous Soviet pilots Ivan Kozhedub and Alexei Maresyev flew.
