Additional Information
the Last fighter of the Fokker company adopted during the First world war was designed according to a rather rare aerodynamic scheme of the monoplane-parasol.
"Fokker" E. V was a serial version of the prototype V. 28, combined in its design a number of solutions used on earlier aircraft. The power plant (in Oberursel Ur.II), the fuselage and horizontal tail - welded from steel tubes with fabric covering, similar to a "Fokker" D. VI, and the vertical is the same as in D. VII. A distinctive feature of the "Fokker" E. V was a free-bearing wooden wing trapezoidal shape rather thick profile with plywood sheathing, which was not typical for the then airplanes. The wing was attached to the fuselage by means of racks made of steel pipes. Have some copies in fairing wheel axis were made fuel and oil cans. Armament - two synchronized LMG 08/15. The author of the project - chief designer of the Fokker Flugzeugwerke GmbH, Reinhold Platz.
