ZL.23 Karaś was a Polish light bomber and reconnaissance aircraft. Serial production of version A began in 1936 year, and a total of 40 aircraft were built. B version with another engine was produced between 1936 and 1938, with 240 machines. Polish aircraft bombers and reconnaissance squadrons received PZL aircraft.23B, while the machine s a-options have been moved to aviation school. Kara was the main Polish bomber aircraft used during the German invasion of Poland in September 1939. PZL.42 was an attempt to create a modernized replacement for the aircraft PZL.23. Only one prototype was built in 1936.
