the Gulfstream G550 is a business class jet aircraft manufactured by General Dynamics Gulfstream Aerospace in Savannah, Georgia, USA. Certification designation GV-SP. As of January 2016, 450 Gulfstream G550 aircraft were operating. The reduced-fuel version was sold as the G500.< / p>G550 (GV-SP) with improved engines received FAA type certification on August 14, 2003. In 2014, Gulfstream considered upgrading the Rolls-Royce Pearl BR700 engine announced in may 2018 for the new Global Express 5500 and 6500 variants, but preferred the BR625 model with the 7500 nmi G650 engine. The 500th Gulfstream G550 was delivered in may 2015.< / p>
