Model length, mm: 261 In Hitler's Germany, many different projects of vertically taking off interceptor fighters were developed, most of which had a vertical position of the fuselage during takeoff and landing. Perhaps the most unusual of them is the project of the Focke-Wulf Triebflugel jet interceptor, which was developed in 1944 by the famous aircraft designer K. Tank together with D. Kluheman and H. Haliman. The Focke-Wulf plant completed development of this design in September 1944 and conducted control tests of its model in a wind tunnel at speeds up to Mach 0.9, but no prototype was ever built.
