La-7 became the most perfect Soviet fighter with an air-cooled engine and was a further development of the aircraft La-5FN. La-7 had a high flight performance, allowing pilots to win over practically any enemy fighters. On the plane of this type flew the most productive Soviet ACE Ivan Kozhedub, who ended the war with 62 victories. In total, more than 5,900 La-7 fighters were produced.
