Entered service in early 1943, the Fw-190A-5 was a variant of the modification of the A-4 with the engine shifted by 15 cm back (which led to the return of the center of gravity of the aircraft to its original place - on previous models, the center of gravity was slightly shifted due to the installation of additional equipment in the rear fuselage). A total of 723 machines of this type were produced, they were used as heavy and night fighters, interceptors and attack aircraft.
