Fokker Dr.I - single single-column non-racking Triplane had a mixed wooden-metal structure. The wings of the thick profile had a wooden box-shaped Eron spar with ribs of plywood. Inside the upper wing were thrust to the ailerons. The sock of the wing was covered with plywood, the rest of the wing was covered with fabric, glued along the ribs. The wings had no external braces, except for two placed cross-on-cross between the steel pipes of the V-shaped pillars of the upper wing.
