Additional Information
F-4 was developed for the US Navy as an interceptor of strategic bombers of the USSR and to protect the fleet. However, the air force is also interested in the plane. Soon, the aircraft entered the marine corps to support the troops. Thus "Phantom" was the first American aircraft used simultaneously by the Navy, Navy and marine corps. The flexibility of the design allowed the F-4 to be used as an air superiority aircraft, interceptor, air defense aircraft and long-range strike aircraft. Phantoms were widely used during the Vietnam war and left the service in the United States only in 1996. But constantly being improved and updated phantoms are in service of different countries to this day. This model depicts the F-4J squadron "VF-84 Jolly Rogers" (Funny Rogers).
