F-14 Tomcat (Tomcat) – American multipurpose fighter of the fourth generation, developed in the early 1970s. For close combat, Tomcat has a built-in 20mm General Electric M61A1 Vulcan automatic cannon. The basis of missile weapons were four missiles "air-to-air" AIM-54 or AIM-7, located on the pylons under the fuselage. The F-14 is the only aircraft capable of carrying the AIM-54A Phoenix long-range air-to-air missile.
