Additional Information
the First gyroplane KACKP-1, built by engineers H. I. Kamov and N. K. Skrizhinsky, took to the air on September 25, 1929. The gyro was piloted by I. V. Mikheev, and in the rear of the cabin was its Creator N. I. Kamov. Structurally, the device resembled the famous model of gyroplane S-8 Serva. Soon on the basis of KASKR-1 designers built a better autogyro KASKR-2 (1930). In the evaluation of the flight characteristics of gyroplanes was attended by specialists of the NII VVS. From 1929 to 1931, 79 test flights were performed.
