Neskopko decades ago, under the leadership of General designer Pavel Osipovich Sukhoi began the development and construction of a unique aircraft. Titanium-steel bomber T-4, nicknamed the creators of 'weave', could become a pioneer of domestic aircraft in the development of long flights at high supersonic speeds. Everyone who was engaged in the development of this machine, believe that its design and construction is a breakthrough in the aviation of the future, so new were the design and technological solutions incorporated into the aircraft. Applied then specifically for the aircraft T-4 titanium alloys work until the time of fir. It is possible that without the mastered for 'weaving' titanium and steel technology would sink later, and 'Buran'.
But, as often happens, the Creator, ahead of his time, does not receive the support of the authorities. The T-4 project, which can be called a "Swan song" by P. O. Sukhoi, was closed by the decision of the then leadership of the country. Who knows how different our aviation and aerospace equipment could have been if this had not happened and the beautiful aircraft would not have become just a Museum exhibit.
