An-8 military transport aircraft developed in the OKB. O. K. Antonova in 1958. The aircraft is designed for transportation of various cargoes, landing and parachute landing of airborne troops with equipment and weapons, as well as for transportation of the wounded. The an-8 was serially produced at the Tashkent aviation plant in 1958 - 1961. In total, 151 aircraft were built.
