the Project "Link" - Aviation project was developed in the USSR in the 1930s and early 1940-ies engineer V. S. by Vahmistrova and based on the use of the carrier aircraft, carrying from one to five fighter jets to increase their radius of action. The first flight of "Link-1" (TB-1 and two I-4) took place on 31 December 1931. Later, the I-4 fighter was replaced by a more modern I-5. This option was designated "LINK-1A".
