the Second prototype of the CG-20 glider (serial number 7787) became the world's first jet military transport aircraft - it was equipped with two "spark" turbojet General electric J-47GE-5 from the Boeing B-47 bomber. He became known as HS-123A. In the first half of 1949, both aircraft completed factory tests. According to their results, it became clear that the use of turbojet on a transport plane is premature, since the LTH increases slightly, and fuel consumption increases five to six times compared to the piston version.
