Canberra — English medium bomber. The first serial bomber Canberra, which took off on April 21, 1950, had little difference from its prototype. The main one was the availability of space for the Bombardier in the glazed nose of the aircraft. The introduction of an additional third crew member was due to the fact that the latest radar equipment for targeted bombing, planned for installation on the bomber, was not put into production on schedule. Therefore, an additional place Bombardier was equipped with a simple optical sight.
