In the same year, the aircraft was put into production at the Irkutsk aircraft factory. Later was created a variant of the MiG-23УМ, structurally close to a MiG-23ML. Serial production of the MiG-23УБ and MiG-23ML was carried out at the Irkutsk aviation plant in 1970-78 years.
