Additional Information

Bristol Racer (Bristol Type 72), developed by Roy Fedden on the basis of the new at the time nine-cylinder air-cooled engine Bristol Jupiter. The prototype was built on January 23, 1922. The fuselage had a mixed design. The original chassis was called "spider web" for its characteristic shape. The aircraft received the civil designation G-EBDR and was painted completely red. First took to the air in July of 1922. However the first attempt to raise in air ended failure, as however the second and the third. After that, the work on the project stopped.
