Britania is a four-engine turboprop passenger liner. The prototype took off on December 23, 1953. In February 1957, Britania began regular flights from London to Johannesburg. In December of the same year Britania with the new engines came to the line the London-new York. Along with the commercial options, a transport option and a command post based on Britania were developed. The latter were successfully tested and adopted. Wingspan - 43.35 m; Length - 37.87 m; Takeoff weight - up to 83914 kg; Cruising speed - 574 km/h; Maximum speed - 639 km/h; Range - 9268 km.
